    Design guidance

Design guidance for machine and panel builders

Checklists to work through, a page for each thing the design has to meet, and the standards explained. Then a person to check the design with before the spec locks.

Work the design through in order

Power it. Control it. Prove it.

    The design path

Fourteen stages, one part decision at each.

    Power That Performs

Power it. Energy comes in. It gets converted, switched and protected.

    Machine Intelligence & Control

Control it. The machine gets told what to do, and the operator can run it.

    Industrial Data Pathways

Prove it. What the machine does gets measured, not guessed.

    Wired to Last

Foundation. The layer that looks simple and fails first. Where the schematic meets the panel.

    Design Once, Build Many

The bill of materials that holds from machine 1 to machine 100.

Check the design with a person

    Before the spec locks

An AI assistant can suggest a part in seconds. A suggestion is not a checked design. Someone still has to confirm the listing, the lead time and how the part behaves in your panel.

Bring us the one-line, the control sequence and the loads. An application engineer works the design through with you and with the manufacturer before the spec locks. The parts are quoted through the distributor you already buy from.

Where we fit in your build

    1. Inquiry and alignment. Early engagement to understand performance goals, environmental constraints, compliance requirements, and system architecture direction.
    2. Architecture review. Validate power topology, protection strategy, control structure, and infrastructure assumptions before detailed design begins.
    3. Detailed design validation. Confirm component selection, performance margins, environmental tolerance, and integration assumptions under expected operating conditions.
    4. Prototype and integration. Identify weak points in wiring, protection coordination, thermal behavior, networking load, and physical layout before scaling to production.
    5. Commissioning and scale. Support startup, load testing, and deployment to mitigate unexpected behavior that only appears under full system stress.

    Challenge us

After 30-plus years in the industrial hardware space we know these products, on our line card and off it. Bring us your most stringent or most mundane requirement. If one of our product lines fits, we will show you where. If it does not, we know someone who will. We would be happy to help.
