GETT has spent its history on a narrow, unglamorous problem: putting a real keyboard on the front of a machine in a room that destroys keyboards. Founded in Treuen, Germany in 1996 and building its own products in-house since the late 1990s under the InduKey brand, GETT designs, manufactures, and hand-assembles every board at its German headquarters, where no component reaches stock without being checked and no unit ships without being tested.

That in-house control is the whole point. Because GETT owns the silicone, membrane, capacitive, and glass technologies on one engineering platform, a sealed washdown keyboard, a stainless kiosk face, and a frameless cleanroom glass surface all come from the same place, and all of them can be customized, layout, labeling, backlighting, branding, down to small quantities instead of pallet-sized minimums.

That is why we carry this brand. Not because the keyboards are unusual, but because the sealing, the serviceability, and the in-house customization are the reason they outlast anything a general distributor stocks. The products below are the proof.

A full-keystroke keyboard you can hose down mid-shift
Fully sealed silicone keyboards rated IP68, washable and disinfectable, with integrated mouse-button or touchpad options and a "Clean Mode" that disables key input during cleaning. Made in Germany, 4-year warranty on electric function.

Why it matters
Puts a real, full-keystroke keyboard on the front of a washdown food, pharma, or medical machine without a sealed PC enclosure. Operators wipe it with disinfectant mid-shift without unplugging; Clean Mode blocks bogus inputs while they do.
How it differs
Generic "rugged" keyboards are IP65 at best, gum up with food and dust, and don't survive disinfectants. Most can't be customized for an OEM. This one is sealed, cleanable, and built to order.

Why it matters
The right answer for vandal-prone, public-facing, or chemically aggressive environments, kiosks, transit, outdoor industrial controls, and food processing where stainless is required by standard. The steel face survives impacts that destroy plastic keyboards.
How it differs
Off-the-shelf "stainless" keyboards are usually metal-look plastic, or have hard, unpleasant key action. Genuine stainless with silicone-cushioned typing is a niche product, and customizable at low volume.

How it differs
There's essentially no commodity equivalent. The few comparable products are also high-end specialty items, this isn't a part you cross-reference off a distributor shelf.
